1. What you can report

You may submit a Notice & Takedown request if you believe an item or content on DKC is:

  • Counterfeit or misrepresented
  • Fraudulent or stolen
  • Breaching your copyright, trademark or other IP rights
  • Harmful, offensive or illegal
  • Unsafe, recalled or non-compliant with consumer protection laws
  • In breach of any of our Terms & Conditions

We investigate every report promptly.


2. How to submit a notice

Subject: Notice & Takedown Request

Your request must include:

  • Your full name and contact details
  • A clear description and link to the item or content you are reporting
  • The issue you believe exists (e.g., “infringes my UK trademark”, “suspected counterfeit”)
  • Any evidence supporting the claim
  • A statement confirming the information provided is accurate and made in good faith

If you are reporting on behalf of someone else (e.g., a brand), include your authority to act.

3. Our response and actions

We will:

  • Acknowledge your request within 2 business days
  • Investigate the matter promptly
  • Contact any relevant parties for clarification where needed
  • Take appropriate action, which may include:
  • Temporarily removing the listing
  • Permanently removing the listing
  • Blocking future listings of the same item
  • Disabling or suspending user accounts if necessary

We will inform you of the outcome where appropriate and lawful.


4. False or malicious notices

Submitting false or misleading takedown notices wastes time and harms users.

If we believe a notice was made:

  • Fraudulently
  • Without genuine belief
  • To harm a competitor or user
  • To interfere with the platform unfairly

…then DKC may take action including account removal or legal escalation.


5. Repeat infringements

Users who repeatedly breach our Terms or this policy may have:

  • Listings permanently removed
  • Lending and renting privileges revoked
  • Their DKC account suspended or permanently closed

We reserve the right to enforce stronger measures where public safety, brand protection or fraud is involved.


6. When content may be reinstated

If an issue is clarified or corrected, such as:

  • Proof of authenticity provided
  • IP rights dispute resolved
  • Safety documentation supplied

…we may reinstate the listing where appropriate.

Reinstatement decisions are made at the discretion of DKC.


7. Legal rights remain protected

This policy does not limit any legal rights you or we may have under:

  • Intellectual property laws
  • Consumer protection laws
  • Fraud and criminal regulations

This policy forms part of the DKC Terms & Conditions.
